EFFC 2025: Registration is open!

We’re delighted to confirm that registration to join us at this summer’s European Football Fans Congress 2025 (EFFC 2025) is now open.

This follows the announcement at the end of last year that the event will be held in Malmö, Sweden and co-hosted with FSE members, Malmö FF Support. It will take place from Thursday 26th to Sunday, 29th June.

We can also confirm dates for a series of key meetings to take place during the four-day event and further information on travelling to and staying in Malmö.

Registration

Register to attend here

With an extensive events programme to be announced soon, we encourage registering to attend as soon as possible to assist with planning activities.

Guidance about support for members to help with some costs associated with travelling to the event can be found here. In this document members will find the steps to follow and form to complete should they need support to help with some of the costs involved with attending.

Key Meeting Dates

The full event programme will be published closer to the summer, however, we can confirm dates for key meetings that will take place during EFFC 2025.

EFFC 2025 will begin on Thursday, 26th June with an opening event that will highlight and place focus on FSE’s Diversity and Inclusion Fan Network.

Throughout Friday (June 27th), a range of workshops, panel sessions, discussions about a variety of topics important to our membership will be organised. One key session already confirmed is an open meeting dedicated to presenting the outcomes of FSE’s Towards the Professional Development (TPDS) of SLOs Erasmus+ project.  Friday evening, as is customary at EFFCs, will finish with a social event organised locally in the city of Malmö.

FSE’s Biennial General Meeting (BGM) will be held on Saturday, 28th June. FSE will provide members with a report of activities and financial information, as well as holding the election of a new FSE Board. Once the BGM concludes, FSE will host a European Youth Fan Forum as a part of its Future of Football Erasmus+ project. This series of activities will highlight the importance of youth participation within the democratic structures of fans organisations, football clubs, and football organisations generally – and ensure plenty of practical advice is shared with participants interested in this topic. Other networking sessions will also be facilitated on this day.

The day will be capped off with another social event, hosted in collaboration with Malmö FF Support.

Some further Erasmus+ project partner meetings and a final social meetup are planned for Sunday for those still in the city, with details confirmed in due course.

Travelling to Malmö

Depending on the country you are travelling from, you may need a visa to enter Sweden. A list of countries whose citizens need a visa to visit Sweden can be found here. FSE strongly encourages those who need a visa to apply ASAP to ensure it is provided in time to attend EFFC 2025. When applying for a visa and in order to get a timely and successful response, we strongly advise you to provide all relevant personal details (full name, address, date of birth), passport credentials, and other details relating to your visit such as confirmed hotel bookings and flights. If you require a letter of support for a visa, you can contact: info@fanseurope.org.

Staying in Malmö

The end of June can be a busy time for the city, so attendees are encouraged to book their accommodation early.

The official EFFC hotel will be the Clarion Hotel Malmö Live. Members can use the booking code “EFFC25” to secure an event discount via this booking link

There are many other hotels in Malmö, or you can look for other options outside the city that are only a short train ride away. Lund is a small town just 15 minutes by train from Malmö. Copenhagen also has many hotels on offer and is only 40 minutes by train from the main station.

Accessibility at EFFC 2025

FSE is striving to ensure that EFFC 2025 is inclusive and welcoming to all. Accessibility enquiries about attending the event can be sent to: james.flanagan@fanseurope.org

With further important updates about attending EFFC 2025 and voting in the Biennial General Meeting to be sent in the coming months, it’s vital that all members ensure their details are up to date by logging in here.

We look forward to welcoming you to Malmö!
