FSE recently took part in its traditional UEFA Club Competition Finals preparatory visits in Lyon (France) and Kiev (Ukraine), together with UEFA delegates, local authorities and representatives from FSE member organisations.
On 24 January, we travelled to Lyon with UEFA and the Association National des Supporters (France) for the Europa League Final preparatory visit. Parc OL will host the Final on 16 May 2018. One week later, we visited Kiev on 31 January with the support of Club Nr. 12 (Bayern Munich) and the Ukrainian Fans’ Embassy. Olimpiyskiy stadium will host the Champions’ League Final on 26 May 2018.
These annual visits are the occasion to receive updated information from UEFA and the local organisers on fan-related issues. We mostly focus on ticket allocations, choreos and security arrangements. UEFA and FSE will liaise in the coming months to ensure optimal communication flow between the organisers and supporters’ groups which will be travelling to the Finals.
FSE also welcomes and encourages the growing involvement of the local SLOs in the organisation of the Finals, following last year’s deployment of local SLOs for the Europa League Final in Stockholm.
