Supporters groups and individual fans focused on disability and inclusion topics have been at the heart of FSE’s work for many years and, following a motion at the 2023 European Football Fans Congress (EFFC), we are now building on this foundation by further developing our Disability & Inclusion Fan Network.
This initiative will bring together supporters with disabilities from across Europe, creating a structured and sustainable platform to share experiences, encourage each other, and mobilise fans to independently create an avenue to have their voices heard at local, national, and European level, highlight accessibility challenges, and drive progress on this specific topic within football.
As part of this work, we are inviting football supporters with disabilities across Europe who are actively engaged in fan activism, whether as part of disability-specific supporter groups or wider fan organisations, to be in the discussion. The network is open to all with a disability and will meet regularly online and in person, ensuring ongoing engagement and a continuous opportunity for everyone to have their voices heard and contribute to driving positive change.
In addition, an in-person meeting will be hosted at EFFC 2025 in Malmö and FSE has financial support available to assist individuals with travel and accommodation costs, with priority will be given to those who can contribute diverse experiences to the discussions and start to create a pan-European perspective. We will support as many participants in getting to Malmö as possible but strongly encourage anyone interested in being involved with the network generally—whether financial support is required—to express their interest on the join the conversation form below.

FSE’s Executive Director, Ronan Evain, said: “Supporters groups focused on accessibility have played a key role in FSE since the organisation was founded in 2008. The FSE membership decided at the 2023 BGM to expand our work on accessibility and inclusion, with the unanimous passing of a motion putting fans with disabilities at the forefront of their minds.
“To raise the bar, we’re calling for fans with disabilities to join the conversation. Meetings will be online and in-person, with an opportunity to gather together this summer at our European Football Fans Congress in Malmö for those interested in making an impact on this topic.”
