Football Supporters Europe is delighted to introduce its newly appointed National Team Fans Coordinator, Jussi Hartikainen. He joins just in time to enhance preparations for EURO 2024 hosted in Germany next year and will be leading on all matters relating to national team fans.
Living in Helsinki, Jussi is a supporter of the Finnish national teams, and FC Viikingit, a fan-owned club playing in Finland’s sixth tier.
Jussi will be no stranger to the FSE membership, having played a leading role in the SMJK (The Finnish National Team Supporters Association) in recent years, as a volunteer, board member and employee.
He brings a wealth of experience after running the Finnish Fans’ Embassy at EURO 2020 in Copenhagen and in St. Petersburg and assisted with both the online and in situ Finnish Fans’ Embassies at the Women’s EURO 2022.
Jussi Hartikainen said “I’m very excited to start my work at Football Supporters Europe. I have been active with the Finnish Fans’ Embassy for over five years and close to five years with FSE’s Fans’ Embassies.
“I’m really looking forward to connecting with the growing network of people and national team supporter groups around Europe. I am delighted to be here and can’t wait to hear from supporters across the UEFA nations.“
Jussi will be contacting all the Fans’ Embassies and national team supporters groups in due course to introduce himself further.
Welcome to FSE, Jussi!
